Thursday, April 15 and April 22, 6-8pm 
Needlefelting workshop with Donna Faivre-Roberts   
$35 class fee + $15 materials fee

Learn to needlefelt a small animal, your choice of a Sitting Mouse, Rat, Bunny or Bear all using the same basic techniques.  Kit fee will include everything you need. Learn short cuts, quick and easy tips, and learn to make an armature. Time permitting we will discuss ideas for shading and detailed needle sculpting. Be current on your tetanus shots, you’re using sharp needles!

Thursday, April 29, May 6, 6:30-8:30
Foam Core Box, taught by Sandra Yahner 
$45 class fee

This workshop in box making will be of interest to those who want to experience collage and/or assemblage.  Students will have the opportunity to construct a box, cover it using different types of papers and embellish them with meaningful found objects.  Cost for the class  will cover legs, knobs, foam core and papers to cover. Additional embellishments can be purchased at the Sink.


Thursday, May 27, 6:30-8:30
Japanese Braids, taught by Sandra Yahner
$35 class fee

Kumihimo is a Japanese braid.  Traditionally used to make the lavish silk cords adorning ceremonial dress, this age old technique is finding new life and uses.  The braids can be used for bracelets, bookmarks or as embellishments for other creations.  In this workshop students will have the opportunity to create a number of braids using different fibers. Fibers and a loom included in class fee.


Sunday, June 20 and 27, 3:30-5:30
Altered Books, taught by Sandra Yahner
$45 class fee

This workshop will offer students the opportunity to make a reliquary from hardcover books.  Using a variety of papers, memorabilia, and found objects students will be able to pay homage through this alteration.  Anyone who loves to collect stuff would benefit from this workshop.  Cost for the class  will include books, papers for covering, and paint. Students will want to bring their own embellishments, but many can also be purchased at The Sink.
